Moving to Our New Web Site

Wow! We are moving from our old web site at Homestead. com to our new site at GoDaddy.com.

This has created a whole new learning curve. At GoDaddy you are basically on your own. You have to learn how to build a web page from scratch. Yikes! So please bear with us. I am struggling to learn "FrontPage" to build a great web site. It will take some time but the basics are already in place if you need to contact us.

Firefighters composite Posted by Hello

Firefighters Composite

This is one of those really difficult compositions. It might look like I just lined up the guys and took the shot but it was nothing like that. Each firefighters was photographed separately. They were all facing the same way so I had to flip a couple. This then required me to turn around the text on the helmets. Also none of the helmets had the correct information on the shield anyway, as they were borrowed. The firefighters were still waiting for their new helmets which hadn't arrived.

This kind of shot really tends to cease up the computer. I did several versions of this shot but I like this one because of the simple black background which ties into their black helmets.

Cowboy Portrait

I was lucky enough to encounter this handsome guy with a whole lot of character at an "employee photo session" recently. I had to try out some western backgrounds and even some art. Here is one with a nice sunset and a lone rider.

Here is "tulip girl" which is a painted portrait. Posted by Hello

The painterly portrait

This picture is one of my favorites and didn't take long to create. This little girl was part of a "school photo project" that I was recently involved with. You can see the entire school in my galeries area. Anyway she had an over all pink tone to her outfit and I had this tulip shot that was a close match in color. It is a great photo to work up in this way because there is a definate fore ground and background which is fairly rare in most photographs.

I applied the brush strokes to the scene and softened her face with pink tones.
